Technical Sales/Business Development Representative

Primary Role Focus

The role is responsible for achieving territory sales goals, new technology roll-out and exceeding sales objectives as per annual corporate business plan. This is accomplished through the process of strategic planning, managing customer relationships, identifying key opportunities and utilizing available company resources to secure business. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Execute company sales and marketing functions as well as sales selling cycle and methodology under Sales Manager direction
  • Research and develop strategies to identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • Complete sales proposals and update as required to ensure accurate invoicing
  • Continually build business relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage territory effectively to maximize time utilization and available resources
  • Continue to build corporate brand and brand awareness, both internally and externally
  • Ensure effective communication of sales outcomes to Sales Manager 
  • Promote all products and services to assigned customer as per marketing and sales plans
  • Execute strategic mapping program as required
  • Manage and be accountable for the performance of assigned client accounts
  • Work closely with senior management in strategic planning activities
  • Promote products and services as per marketing and strategic sales plan
  • Act as a key conduit between Company and customer at senior levels
  • Provide Company with customer status reports - specific to accounts receivable, customer problems and challenges
  • Assist in executive strategic mapping program

Position Requirements

Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in Oil and Gas services industry Sales role
  • A sales and business development professional who possesses a sound track record for strategy development and implementation - resulting in outstanding sales results
  • Possess knowledge and experience specific to completions and application of down-hole tools essential
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs and provide support where necessary
  • Maintain high professionalism when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to ensure customer loyalty
  • Communicate clearly and concisely when requesting or providing information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar with the use of CRM systems
  • Knowledge of all products and tools available to assist with the sale process
  • Understand the Oil and Gas services industry and new technologies available

Education and Training

  • Degree or Diploma in Business or Engineering and/or equivalent business experience

Physical, Business and Safety Requirements

  • Compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk using a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse
