Warehouse Order Technician

We are currently seeking the ideal candidate to take on the exciting challenge of the new role of WAREHOUSE ORDER TECHNICIAN.  This is an ENTRY LEVEL position, experience with warehousing or inventory is an asset.

Reporting to the Warehouse Order Specialist, this individual will be focused coordinating Warehouse job activities with respective departments to ensure accurate and timely completion. The successful applicant will do this while supporting our values of Operational Excellence, Innovation, and Customer Intimacy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist in creation, schedule and prioritizing of daily warehouse picks and movements
  • Schedule and prioritize Quality Control and Receiving to meet the needs of the warehouse schedule
  • Liaise with Assembly Coordinators on timing of processing orders
  • Assist with picking any sensitive transfer orders to ensure accuracy
  • Review back orders, Warehouse movements and Assembly transfer requests to ensure efficiency is maintained
  • Prioritize projects and ensure they remain on schedule
  • Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) / Vertical Lift Module (VLM) Fault Recovery
  • Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) / Vertical lift module subject matter expert on projects
  • Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety program

Experience and Skills

  • 2+ years of warehouse or shop experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, considered an asset. (Transferable skills considered)
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of equipment tracking processes and project flow an asset
  • Experience with Navision 5, Savannah and Power Pick Global software applications an asset
  • Ability to work effectively with time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an asset

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalency (preferred)

Physical, Business and Safety Requirements

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and use of a computer, keyboard and mouse
  • Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
