Inventory Clerk

Primary Role Focus

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring inventory is put away correctly, assist with the organization of the warehouse as well as counting, organizing and reorganizing the inventory as needed.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Review and confirm Field Ticket information (i.e. Part number) is correct
  • Assist with all physical inventory counts
  • Manage stock levels via SKU’s
  • Help conduct cycle counts as prescribed by Inventory Coordinator
  • Create transfer orders from shop request
  • Scan product numbers and organize warehouse by ensuring product parts are shelved correctly
  • Maintain cleanliness of work space to ensure a safe work environment
  • Report any discrepancies with products to ensure issues are dealt with accordingly
  • Provide assistance training new employees to ensure they complete tasks appropriately
  • Complete stocking of items in the warehouse and outside correctly to maintain organization
  • Work with Inventory Coordinator to review/analyze various monthly inventory reports (i.e. Negative Inventory Balance; ‘In-transit’ Inventory) and take the necessary corrective actions
  • Complete/submit inventory scrap adjustment requests as required
  • Work with Inventory Coordinator to create/complete TCR (tool conversion) requests as required
  • Ensure all inventory is properly identified/labeled
  • Responsible for forklift operation
  • Other tasks as assigned

Position Requirements
Experience and Skills

  • Experience with computerized Inventory Systems (experience with Navision or Nav 5 an asset)
  • Minimum 5 years experience with warehouse and inventory control required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Proficient with NAV or similar ERP system

Education and Training

  • High school diploma is preferred
  • Forklift operation certification required

Physical, Business and Safety Requirements

  • Compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
  • Safety Sensitive
    • Subject to pre-employment medical assessment
    • Subject to pre-employment, post incident, random and reasonable cause drug and alcohol testing
  • Sit at a desk for extended periods
  • Significant use of computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse
  • Some heavy lifting may be required
